C.A.R.E. Foundation India
Led by Professor N. M. Samuel, M.D., the C.A.R.E. Foundation sponsors AIDS education workshops plus a rural Women and Children's Center.
The Women and Children's Center in Namakkal, India, addresses the needs of the most marginalized. The Center for the Church and Global AIDS supports this unique outreach to women and children. Needed are monthly gifts to support the operations of this Center which provides invaluable free medical care to persons suffering from HIV and AIDS. See special dedication in honor of Messer's.
$400,000 SHIPMENT OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT TO INDIA HAS ARRIVED! Just before Easter, desperately needed medical help reached the Women and Children's Center. Through Project C.U.R.E., the Center shipped these goods at a cost of $25,000.
A ground-breaking seminar on "Sexuality and Faith" co-sponsored by C.A.R.E. and the Center in Nov., 2009, brought together Indian Christian leaders and persons from the Indian gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community. Discrimination and criminalization of GLBT relationships hinder HIV and AIDS education and prevention.
