Rural Namakkal, India, suffers one of the highest HIV prevalence rates in the world. Especially endangered are the wives and children of long-distance truck drivers, men who have little education and are away from home for months and months.

This program, headed by N. M. Samuel, M.D., a noted Indian medical professor and international expert on HIV and AIDS, reaches out to the most marginalized women and their families. $250 provides a month's medical care for 100 women and children.
